ZUZANA VÁLKOVÁ
Prague-based writer specialising in interviews and
communication of research in the area of social sciences and humanities. Editor of Small Talk magazine, online weekly focusing on feature interviews with leading Czech and foreign scientists.
As a journalist I have cooperated with several Czech national dailies (Hospodářské noviny, Orientace Lidových novin, Deník Referendum) as well as magazines (Respekt, FinMag, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue CS, Marianne, Heroine). On a regular basis I write columns for Český rozhlas Plus (Czech public radio station).
In my mind, I'm on friendly terms with Dorothy Parker, Fran Lebowitz, Azar Nafisi, Gloria Steinem or Nora Ephron. In real life, I like to befriend people who are kind and brilliant, in one way or another.
Oh, and don't get me started on the New Yorker magazine. #fan

SELECTED FEATURES
"Go find out what's happening out there" is by far the most exciting and demanding task I've undertaken. Reporting doesn't mean a writer comes back with the "true story". There's no such thing as one true story. He or she should, however, come up with a relevant one.
